Week 1 – Vie Fit in Spain.
It’s never too late to learn how to manoeuvre yourself so you can go after what you want. The recurring theme on my Facebook feed this week was to set your goal and don’t aim directly for that goal, instead go at an angle. So I have spent a whole week finding what my angle is. To my surprise it seems that in wake of needing or more importantly wanting to get into some sort of routine after moving not only house but country, and learning a new way of life that I am excited about designing and delivering fitness classes. I did deliver corporate bootcamp CrossFit style classes upon qualifying as a PT for a few weeks but I was so eager to work one on one I limited the pleasure I could get from a group session. I still have all the classes I wrote, they may well come back out to play, they were fun!
I have in my own training over the last year concentrated on strength and conditioning my need is too look after my body, not to batter it in a hope of looking like an athletic superstar. As a result I have been drawn to disciplines such as Yoga, Pilates, Piyo, HIIT and cardio. My passion is aimed at being able to understand the body and mind and learn how to nourish it through food, environment and working smart so I can enjoy it and so I can teach this to my clients.
Now I find myself excited at the prospect of designing and taking classes and learning the needs of the people I want to ultimately offer my skills and service to so I cam help them feel every bit as great as I do. This does not stop here, I have a son and daughter and my battle as much as anything has been to guide them into adulthood in a confident and healthy way, this seems to becoming a theme from country to country, western living is just not as balanced as it needs so I am offering a helping hand in the arena of children too and offering them a Fit Kids after-school club which will focus on their physical and and mental needs aligning and teaching then gently how to nourish themselves so they grow feeling empowered and confident. I have past experience working with volatile children and was able to give something good to individual children who came from very broken backgrounds. I am looking forward to these classes the most, children from any background present challenges and I am hoping I can create a sense of adventure and escape because we all need this from time to time.
My angle is classes and community I am looking to be inspired which I have been massively so far whilst I have been here and I hope to inspire positive changes and perspectives as we all move forward one step at a time.
